Do you know how to turn a provider’s expertise into a persuasive, high-scoring tender response?
Have you written public sector bids for healthcare and social care services?
Better People is working with our client to recruit an experienced Bid Writer to help providers win public sector contracts across healthcare, social care and supported living.
The role
You’ll take a hands-on role in planning, writing and submitting clear, compelling and compliant bids. Working closely with clients, you’ll get to understand their services, ask the right questions and draw out the evidence that shows why they should win the contract.
You’ll need to be comfortable managing several deadlines, chasing missing information and making every word count.
What you’ll be doing
*Writing and coordinating public sector tender responses and framework applications.
*Gathering information from clients about their services, people, processes and results.
*Turning complex information into clear, persuasive, evidence-based answers.
*Tailoring each response to the tender requirements and evaluation criteria.
*Checking submissions for accuracy, compliance, consistency and word limits.
*Managing deadlines and keeping clients and colleagues informed.
*Developing bid library content, case studies and templates.
*Using evaluator feedback to improve future submissions.
About you
You must have proven experience writing UK public sector bids, particularly in healthcare and social care. This is an essential requirement.
You’ll also have:
*Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
*A sound understanding of public sector procurement and tender processes.
*The ability to interpret tender questions and write responses against scoring criteria.
*Confidence working with clients to gather detailed information and supporting evidence.
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Experience of supported living tenders, knowledge of CQC or relevant care sector requirements, and familiarity with procurement portals such as Atamis, Proactis, In-Tend or The Chest would be useful.
Salary and working arrangements
The salary is up to £42,000, depending on experience. This is a hybrid role with one day per week in the Stevenage office and the remainder working remotely.
