You’ve spent years developing your thermal engineering expertise. Now it’s time to put that experience to greater use.
We’re supporting an established engineering company looking to strengthen its specialist thermal engineering capability.
The business delivers bespoke heat exchangers and engineered equipment for energy applications, and is seeking an experienced engineer who can take ownership of complex technical work while helping develop engineering capability across the wider team.
This isn’t a role where you’ll be removed from hands-on engineering. You’ll remain closely involved in thermal design while helping guide technical decisions and supporting less experienced engineers.
Your opportunity
*Take ownership of shell-and-tube heat exchanger thermal design.
*Influence equipment performance, manufacturing decisions and technical solutions.
*Provide specialist input into customer enquiries and engineering projects.
*Review and check designs produced by colleagues and suppliers.
*Develop calculation methods, engineering tools and technical standards.
*Mentor engineers and share specialist knowledge across international teams.
At Principal level, you’ll become a recognised technical authority for heat exchanger thermal design, including responsibility for approving designs within your delegated authority.
What you’ll bring
Strong experience with Aspen EDR or HTRI, proven knowledge of shell-and-tube heat exchangers and a solid foundation in thermal engineering principles.
The position can be considered at Senior or Principal level depending on your experience.
