Salary: Up to £40,000
We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join an established finance team based in Thurmaston on a 6 month fixed term contract.
This role would suit a part-qualified accountant or experienced accountant with experience across month-end and financial reporting, looking to build on their existing skills within a larger finance function. You will be involved in a range of core accounting activities, supporting accurate reporting, maintaining financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
The Role
*Managing month-end activities including journals, accruals and prepayments.
*Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies.
*Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
*Assisting with statutory, tax and group reporting requirements.
*Providing information and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
*Working with colleagues across finance to resolve queries and ensure accurate reporting.
*Maintaining financial controls and keeping process documentation up to date.
*Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline existing processes.
*Providing support across the wider finance team during busy periods.
About You
*Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or qualified by experience.
*Previous experience in a management accounting or financial accounting role.
*Good understanding of month-end processes, journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Confident using Excel and finance systems.
*Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Able to manage deadlines and work independently as well as part of a team.
*Good communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across the business.
