The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Transactional Client Finance Leader to join a growing property management business.
This role will oversee day-to-day client finance operations, ensuring financial processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with relevant RICS and TPI regulations. You will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, supporting the Client Finance team and ensuring the smooth onboarding of new developments.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical finance knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach, providing oversight, quality control and approval across transactional finance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Transactional Finance Operations
*Oversee client finance activities, including accounts payable and receivable, service charge and ground rent billing, bank reconciliations and financial administration.
*Ensure financial tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
*Manage corporate management fee billing and support annual budgeting processes.
*Identify opportunities to improve processes and maintain consistent standards.
Systems and Development Mobilisations
*Oversee the financial onboarding of new developments, ensuring systems and budgets are set up accurately.
*Obtain and review financial information from previous managing agents.
*Work with property management and operational teams to ensure smooth transitions.
*Support finance system upgrades, user access management and system testing.
Financial Controls and Compliance
*Review and sign off client bank reconciliations within agreed authority levels.
*Investigate discrepancies and ensure outstanding items are resolved or escalated.
*Review and approve bank movements and transfers between client accounts.
*Maintain accurate financial records and support RICS/TPI audits.
Team Support and Service Delivery
*Provide day-to-day guidance to the Client Finance team, ensuring workloads are prioritised and deadlines are met.
*Review work to maintain accuracy, quality and compliance.
*Act as an escalation point for complex finance queries.
*Provide hands-on support across transactional finance activities when required.
Skills and Experience
*Experience managing high-volume financial processes and competing deadlines.
*Experience within residential property management, block management or leasehold finance.
*Knowledge of service charge and ground rent accounting.
*Experience with property management or client accounting systems.
*Previous leadership experience.
