Full job descriptionWe are recruiting for a Senior Claims Specialist, Construction & Natural Resources on behalf of a leading London Market insurer.
The Senior Claims Specialist will manage Construction and Natural Resources claims, with a primary focus on the Inherent Defects Construction book of business, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
*Creating and maintaining peer level relationships with brokers.
*Managing a portfolio of clients, as well as being the main entry point for all their claims.
*Handling from FNOL to conclusion claims of varying degrees of complexity and value, incl. reporting and referrals.
*Training and developing the team and acting as a technical referral point for other Claims Handlers.
*Collaborating with Underwriting, Operations and Global teams.
*Participating in IT/digital projects to share technical insights as a Subject Matter Expert.
Key Requirements
*Specialised understanding of Construction claims.
*Experience handling Inherent Defect claims is advantageous.
*An understanding of Natural Resources claims is advantageous but not essential.
*Detailed understanding of the insurance markets and competitor landscape.
*A solid understanding of coverage principles, products, wordings, terms, and conditions.
*Understanding of relevant reserving, legal framework, processes, guidelines, and litigation management.
*Well recognised relationship building with brokers at peer group level.
*Experience in working in complex, global matrix organisation.
*Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyse, study, and examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions.
*Ability to integrate AI-driven insights into work to optimise outcomes and support broader organisational goals.
*CII qualifications are advantageous.
