Full job descriptionOur client, a multi-academy trust, need an experienced finance business partner to act as the main finance contact for a group of academies and help embed consistent processes and controls during the transition.
Key responsibilities:
*Act as the primary finance partner to the regional executive leader, Principals and budget holders, providing insight and constructive challenge on staffing, curriculum planning and procurement
*Lead academy input to the annual budget, regular forecasts and longer-term scenario modelling
*Review month-end management accounts and oversee payroll journals and payroll-to-budget (IMP) reconciliations
*Line manage the Regional Finance Officer and support the roll-out of standardised processes, controls and reporting
What we’re looking for:
*A professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA) or equivalent experience
*Significant finance business partnering experience, including budgeting, multi-year forecasting and line management
*Advanced Excel skills. Experience in academies or with the Academies Trust Handbook, IMP, or shared services mobilisation would be a real advantage
