Machining Trainee / Technician
Yeovil Area
£12.71 - £14.00 per hour
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Day Shift
Our client is seeking a Machining Trainee / Technician to join their friendly production team, manufacturing high-precision engineering components.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in engineering or for an individual with previous machining experience who is looking for their next challenge. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:*Carrying out various machining and associated manufacturing processes
*Mounting, machining, cleaning, and inspecting precision components
*Reading and following engineering drawings and work instructions
*Completing quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
*Adhering to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times
*Working as part of a small, supportive production team
Candidate Requirements:*Level 2 or Level 3 Engineering qualification preferred
*Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
*Ability to follow technical instructions and work to high standards
*Previous machining experience is advantageous for Technician-level applicants
Salary:Trainee: £12.71 - £13.31 per hour
*Suitable for candidates with little or no machining experience
*Engineering Level 2/3 qualification desirable
Technician: £13.69 - £14.00 per hour
*Previous machining experience required
*Engineering Level 2/3 qualification preferred
