Full job descriptionBI EngineerContract: 12 month FTC (possibility of going permanent)
Location: London | Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in the office)
I’m currently representing my client, who is looking for a BI Engineer to support the development of data models, ETL processes and reporting solutions, working closely with analysts and developers to deliver high-quality BI solutions.


The Role:

*Develop and maintain ETL processes, data warehouses and SSAS cubes.

*Build and enhance data and semantic models, including advanced DAX calculations.

*Write and optimise SQL queries and stored procedures.

*Support testing, quality assurance, bug fixing and data validation.

*Troubleshoot data issues and support client queries.

*Collaborate with analysts and developers to deliver scalable, reliable BI solutions.



The Requirements:

*Strong SQL Server and T-SQL development experience.

*Experience with SSAS multidimensional and Tabular models, including DAX.

*Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing and dimensional modelling.

*Familiarity with Azure data services and modern data platforms.

*Experience with data validation, testing and quality assurance.

*Understanding of established BI development standards and architectural patterns.



What Will Make You Stand Out:

*Experience with Data Vault and Kimball modelling methodologies.

*Programming or scripting skills.

*Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

*Experience supporting junior developers through knowledge sharing and peer reviews.
