Full job descriptionReed Talent Solutions on behalf of United Utilities recruiting Meter Readers across the Northwest.
We have several exciting opportunities for Meter Readers to join United Utilities. In this role, you will visit customers at their homes and businesses to accurately collect meter readings, gather customer information, and record any additional data required to support billing and customer service operations.
As part of a busy field operations team, you will be responsible for completing all meter reading tasks and associated data validations within agreed timeframes and within your designated area. Most visits are unappointed, giving you the flexibility to plan your own working hours within the agreed operating window. You will start each working day from your home address with the company van.
What do you need to know about the role?
*Job title: Meter Reader
*Location: Carlisle, CA1-CA6
*Contract: Temporary via Reed for 6 months, with potential to become permanent
*Hourly pay rate: £13.84 per hour, overtime available on 1.5x or 2x
*Hours: 37 hours/week between 8:00-18:00
Requirements:
*Valid full UK Driving Licence
*5 GCSE’s required (including Maths, English and Science / Technology subject)
