We are working with a well-established outdoor retailer to recruit an Assistant Manager for one of their stores in the Lake District.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail supervisor, Assistant Manager or senior sales professional who enjoys leading a team, delivering excellent customer service and has a genuine interest in the outdoors.

The Role
As Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store, helping to deliver outstanding customer service, develop the team and achieve commercial targets.
You’ll be hands-on across the shop floor, leading by example and ensuring the store operates efficiently while creating a welcoming environment for customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting the Store Manager with the overall operation and performance of the store
*Leading, motivating and supporting the retail team
*Delivering excellent customer service and sharing product knowledge
*Driving sales and helping the store achieve its targets
*Supporting with staff training, development and day-to-day coaching
*Maintaining high standards of merchandising, presentation and store standards
*Taking responsibility for opening and closing the store when required
*Supporting stock management, cash handling and operational procedures
*Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
About You
We’re looking for someone with previous retail experience who is confident supporting a team and taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of a store.
You’ll ideally have:
*Previous retail supervisory or management experience
*Strong customer service and communication skills
*The ability to lead, motivate and support a team
*A hands-on, commercially minded approach
*Confidence supporting store operations and achieving sales targets
*An interest in outdoor products, activities or the wider outdoor industry
*The flexibility to support the needs of a busy retail store
