Interim Financial Accountant
South Liverpool | Hybrid Working
3-Month Initial Contract | Immediate Start
Hybrid: 3 days in the office 2 working from home
£300 - £367 per day
An established and purpose-driven organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to support a critical year-end and audit project.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, prepare audit-ready schedules and support the completion of statutory accounts. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can quickly get up to speed and deliver to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
*Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding variances
*Prepare audit-ready lead schedules and supporting documentation
*Review and correct accruals, prepayments and year-end adjustments
*Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register
*Support intercompany reconciliations and consolidation adjustments
*Prepare journals for review and approval
*Assist with auditor queries and requests during the audit process
*Ensure reconciliations and processes are documented for ongoing use

About You
*Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
*Strong year-end accounting and audit preparation experience
*Proven track record delivering balance sheet reconciliations in a complex environment
*Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
*Able to work autonomously and deliver to challenging deadlines
*Experience with ERP systems
