We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Junior Accounts Assistant to join a thriving retail business based in the heart of vibrant Manchester.
This role is perfect for someone with 6-12 months’ experience in Accounts Payable who is eager to broaden their finance knowledge, develop their accounting skills and progress into a well-rounded Accounts Assistant role.

The Role
Working as part of a friendly and supportive finance team, you’ll initially build on your Accounts Payable experience before gradually gaining exposure to wider accounting responsibilities.
*Processing supplier invoices and managing purchase ledger transactions.
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.
*Assisting with payment runs and bank reconciliations.
*Supporting the preparation of month-end accounts.
*Helping with expenses, journals and general ledger tasks.
*Working closely with the wider finance team to develop your accounting knowledge.
*Taking on additional responsibilities as your confidence and experience grow.
About You
*Around 6-12 months’ experience working in Accounts Payable or a similar junior finance role.
*A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in accountancy.
*Started studying AAT or is keen to begin their studies.
*Good Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
*A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
*Strong communication and organisational skills.
