Full job description Role: 2nd Line Support Engineer
Salary: £28,000-£35,000 DoE
Location: Cheshire (with customer site visits)
In office & driving licence required

An established and growing business is looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join its team.This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll support a range of customers, troubleshoot technical issues and get involved in IT installations and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:*Provide 2nd line support and resolve technical issues.
*Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, servers and user accounts.
*Diagnose network issues involving firewalls, switches, routers and Wi-Fi.
*Install and configure computers, servers and network equipment.
*Visit customer sites to carry out repairs, upgrades and installations.
*Support new customer setups, migrations and infrastructure projects.
*Work with the wider technical team to resolve more complex issues.
*Keep support tickets and technical documentation up to date.
*Provide friendly and effective customer service.
Key Skills:
*Experience in an IT support role, ideally at 2nd line level.
*Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and Windows Server.
*Understanding of Active Directory and Entra ID.
*Knowledge of networking, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VPNs.
*Experience troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues.
*Good communication and problem-solving skills.
*The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
