Are you an experienced Hair & Beauty Teacher, vocational tutor or industry professional looking for a rewarding opportunity in education?

Aspire People is urgently recruiting a Hair & Beauty Teacher / Instructor for a long-term position at a secondary school in Solihull.

This is an excellent opportunity to support young people in developing practical skills, industry knowledge and confidence within Hair & Beauty.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in hairdressing, beauty therapy, salon training or vocational education.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will support the delivery of vocational Hair & Beauty education, including the City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Award in Hair and Beauty Studies.

Responsibilities may include:

- Delivering engaging practical and theory-based Hair & Beauty lessons.
- Teaching relevant hairdressing and beauty techniques.
- Supporting pupils with practical demonstrations and assessments.
- Developing learners’ understanding of salon practices, professional standards and customer service.
- Teaching appropriate health, safety and hygiene procedures.
- Supporting coursework and qualification requirements.
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting activities to different abilities.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are keen to hear from candidates with:

- Relevant qualifications or professional experience in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy.
- Experience teaching, training, assessing or mentoring learners.
- Confidence delivering practical demonstrations and theoretical content.
- Good knowledge of salon health, safety and hygiene.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- A professional, reliable and enthusiastic approach.

A teaching qualification, QTS, QTLS or experience delivering City & Guilds qualifications would be advantageous.

We also welcome applications from experienced Hair & Beauty professionals who have training experience and are interested in transitioning into education.
