Full job descriptionInterim Pension Fund Accountant – LGPS£400 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: South East England – Hybrid Working
We are working with a local authority pension fund to recruit an experienced Interim Pension Fund Accountant to support their technical pensions finance team.
The role will report directly to the Technical Pensions Lead, with a primary focus on pension fund budgets, management accounts and financial monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
*Preparation of pension fund budgets and management accounts.
*Monthly budget monitoring, forecasting and variance reporting.
*Supporting financial reconciliations and accurate financial reporting.
*Providing technical accounting support to the wider pensions finance team.
Essential Requirements:
*Previous accounting experience within a Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) fund.
*Strong pension fund budgeting and management accounting experience.
*Good understanding of local authority pension fund finance.
*Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Please note: Previous LGPS pension fund accounting experience is essential for this position.
