Full job descriptionCAD Draughtsman / CAD Engineer
*Salary & Benefits: £30,000 - £38,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonus + Progression + 25 Days Holiday (+ Bank Holidays) + Life Assurance + Free Parking
*Days & Hours: Monday to Friday (Days) | 100% On-Site
*Location: Desborough (Commutable from Kettering, Corby, Market Harborough, Leicester, Northampton, Wellingborough)
Ready to join a premier engineering giant and bring bespoke mechanical designs to life? Looking for a stable, technically rewarding role working with 3D CAD, structural sheet metal fabrications, and precision assembly drawings?
You will produce accurate 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings for steel structures, sheet metal fabrications, and mechanical sub-assemblies using SolidWorks. Working closely with Senior Mechanical Design Engineers, you will convert initial design concepts into detailed, production-ready drawing packs and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs). You will liaise directly with shop-floor fabrication, welding, and assembly teams to resolve technical queries, clarify manufacturing tolerances, process engineering change requests (ECRs), and update legacy drawing packages for core product lines.
