Full job descriptionRole: Tax Accountant
We are currently recruiting for a well-established organisation based in Sheffield, who are looking to appoint a new Tax Accountant to integrate into the existing team. Working alongside the Head of Tax, you will work to cover corporation tax, VAT as well as a variety of other areas. This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to grow within the organisation and develop their existing knowledge and experience further.
What you will do
*Prepare corporation tax computations
*Compile the tax provision reporting pack, setting out key judgements points
*Review the Group’s quarterly UK VAT returns
*Coordinate EU VAT and corporation tax returns
*Liaise with EU tax agents as key point of contact
*Track EU and Group filing deadlines, and raising any risk to the Head of Tax
The Ideal Candidate:
*Qualified accountant or tax professional (ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA ), or close to completing additional exams
*Previous tax compliance experience, including UK corporation tax
*Working knowledge of current and deferred tax provisioning
*Able to produce well-documented first drafts and flag judgement points before review
*Good Excel skills and comfort with financial data from accounting systems
Desirable
*EU corporation tax and VAT compliance
*Familiarity with CIS or transfer pricing
*Experience in a multi-entity group
