You will provide practical legal input that helps day-to-day business activity run smoothly and supports clear decision-making.

Description
*Provide day-to-day legal advice across matters relevant to the business.
*Review, draft and negotiate legal documents to support business activity.
*Identify legal issues early and provide clear, practical guidance.
*Work with internal stakeholders to help them understand legal considerations.
*Manage legal queries from initial review through to a clear outcome.
*Maintain accurate records of legal matters and key documentation.
*Keep legal documents organised and accessible for relevant stakeholders.
*Support continuity of legal work throughout the maternity cover period.
Profile
A successful Legal Counsel should have:
*Experience providing practical legal advice in a commercial setting.
*Ability to draft, review and negotiate legal documents.
*Sound judgement when assessing legal issues and suggesting next steps.
*Ability to manage a varied legal workload and meet agreed deadlines.
*Clear written communication when explaining legal points.
*Strong document management and record-keeping skills.
Job Offer
*Temporary contract covering maternity leave.
*Pro rata salary of between £70-85k, dependent on the level of experience.
*Based in Newport.
