Full job descriptionWe are currently seeking an Interim Senior Procurement Professional to support a Combined Authority in East Anglia on a key strategic procurement programme. This role will provide both strategic and operational procurement expertise, working closely with senior stakeholders on high-profile projects and procurement activity.


Location: Hybrid
Start: ASAP
Duration: Interim 3-6 months+
Rate: Negotiable (Inside IR35)


Key Responsibilities:
*Provide strategic and operational procurement support across a range of procurement workstreams
*Support the delivery of a high-profile transport programme and associated procurement activities
*Advise senior stakeholders on procurement strategy, commercial approaches, and compliance requirements
*Lead and support complex procurement exercises from inception through to contract award
*Develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and programme teams
*Ensure procurement activity is compliant with relevant public procurement legislation and governance requirements
*Contribute to programme delivery through procurement planning, market engagement, and commercial advice


Requirements:
*Strong public sector procurement background
*Essential experience within a Local Authority or Combined Authority environment
*Experience supporting complex, high-profile programmes and senior stakeholders
*Ability to provide strategic procurement advice alongside hands-on procurement delivery
*Experience within a Combined Authority environment is highly desirable
*Experience supporting transport-related programmes, particularly bus franchising, would be advantageous
