Full job description Pre-Weigh Production Operative / FLT Driver
Location: Sutton in Ashfield, Nottingham
If you take pride in getting things right first time, accuracy, safety and quality, this is a fantastic opportunity to support our client’s paint manufacturing operation. In a fast-paced environment, you’ll weigh, measure and prepare raw materials so production has the right ingredients, in the right quantities, at the right time.
What you’ll be doing:
* Weigh, measure and prepare raw materials in line with approved formulations, production orders and standard operating procedures
* Verify material identity, product codes and quantities before dispensing powders, pigments, additives and other ingredients
* Label, identify and organise pre-weighed materials to maintain full traceability
* Operate weighing scales, dispensing equipment and other relevant machinery in line with training/procedures
* Keep your work area tidy and organised, supporting safe and efficient material flow
* Follow health, safety, environmental and quality procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work
* Comply with COSHH requirements for safe handling of chemicals, powders, solvents and other hazardous substances
* Wear required PPE and use respiratory protection where specified
* Handle heavy loads safely (up to 25 kg repetitively) using approved manual handling practices and lifting aids/equipment
* Follow procedures for safe management of spills, waste and empty packaging; report hazards, incidents, near misses and defects
What you’ll bring:
Essential requirements:
* FLT licence (REACH)
* Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety practices and procedures
* Able to manage heavy loads up to 25 kg repetitively
* Accuracy and consistency when preparing, checking and labelling materials
Desirable:
* Previous experience in paint manufacturing
Pay rate & hours:
* £14.82 per hour
Working hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm; Friday 7:00am-12:45pm
* Overtime may offered during busy periods
