Full job descriptionBuilding Manager - Roaming across Greater Manchester
Up to £40,000 per annum
As Building Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the building and its occupiers, acting as the key point of contact for tenants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing daily building operations and facilities services
*Building and maintaining strong relationships with tenants
*Overseeing planned preventative maintenance programmes
*Managing hard and soft service contractors
*Ensuring full compliance with health & safety legislation
*Coordinating statutory inspections and audits
*Managing service charge budgets and expenditure
*Conducting regular building inspections and reporting on building performance
*Handling tenant queries and resolving issues efficiently
*Supporting lease and occupancy activities where required
*Monitoring security, cleaning, landscaping, and waste management services
*Ensuring the property remains safe, compliant, and professionally presented at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
*Previous experience as a Building Manager, Facilities Manager, Property Manager, Estate Manager, or similar
*Experience managing commercial or mixed-use properties
*Strong knowledge of health & safety and property compliance legislation
*IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (desirable)
*Excellent contractor and supplier management skills
*Experience working with service charge budgets
*Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
*A customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills
*The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
