Full job descriptionPayroll Specialist - Interim - London (hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Specialist to provide temporary cover for the end-to-end monthly payroll operations across four client entities (three UK and one Ireland-based business), supporting approximately 450 employees.
Key responsibilities
*Manage the outsourced provider: send the monthly payroll data, answer their queries, carry out and review payroll calculations, and challenge or reject incorrect drafts.
*Work with the client’s People Operations team to review and advise on the monthly HR data from Sage.
*Do the manual calculations, including maternity, paternity, sick pay, leavers and pensions.
*Check the provider’s draft payrolls, get each one approved by the entity’s Financial Controller, and close it with the provider.
Essential experience
*Hands-on, end-to-end payroll experience, with the technical knowledge to spot calculation errors.
*Experience working with an outsourced payroll provider.
*Strong Excel skills.
Desirable
*UK and Ireland payroll experience.
*Knowledge of share-based payments and statutory payments.
