Are you an experienced Building Surveyor looking for your next interim assignment?
We are seeking a skilled Interim Building Surveyor to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital, refurbishment and property improvement projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of construction and asset management schemes, providing professional surveying expertise from project inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver building surveying services across refurbishment, alteration and construction projects.
*Manage and oversee property and construction-related projects.
*Prepare and review designs, specifications and technical documentation.
*Administer construction contracts and monitor contractor performance.
*Provide professional advice on building construction, maintenance and property matters.
*Support procurement and tendering activities.
*Monitor project costs, programmes and associated risks.
*Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements.
*Undertake Principal Designer duties where qualified and appointed.
*Liaise with contractors, consultants and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
Requirements
Essential
*Degree in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline.
*Experience working as a Building Surveyor within construction, property or asset management environments.
*Strong contract administration experience.
*Proven experience managing refurbishment, alteration and improvement projects.
*Sound knowledge of construction methods, building design and technical standards.
*Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable
*MRICS qualified or working towards chartered status.
*Membership of RICS or another relevant professional body.
*Local authority or wider public sector experience.
*Experience undertaking Principal Designer duties under CDM Regulations.
