Rate: £270 per day

Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a retail new build project in Northampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on Site Manager with experience delivering retail, commercial, industrial, or fast-track construction projects from groundworks through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
*Oversee subcontractors and ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently.
*Maintain programme targets and monitor project progress.
*Ensure all health & safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
*Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections.
*Liaise with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
*Manage site documentation, daily reports, and quality inspections.
*Ensure works are completed to the required specification and standard.
Project Scope:
The project consists of the construction of a new build retail unit on a retail park and will involve:
*Groundworks
*Foundations
*Structural steel frame installation
*External cladding package
*Internal dry lining works
*Associated fit-out and finishing elements
Requirements:
*Valid SMSTS
*Valid First Aid at Work
*Previous experience managing new build construction projects preferably on a retail park
*Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme delivery
