Full job descriptionTest Automation Engineer - Contract - Inside IR35 - Glasgow - Hybrid - 6-Months
We’re looking for a Test Automation Engineer to build automated test frameworks that keep our cloud data pipelines and applications accurate, reliable and release-ready.
Key responsibilities
*Design and maintain automated test suites covering unit, integration, end-to-end and regression testing
*Write Pytest unit tests and reusable Python test frameworks
*Carry out functional testing and validate data across pipelines using SQL and PySpark
*Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
*Raise and track defects through to resolution
Essential skills
*Strong Python and SQL, ideally with PySpark
*Databricks or a similar cloud data platform
*Pytest, plus integration, end-to-end and regression testing
*Software quality assurance and functional testing
*Data validation
*Git and CI/CD, ideally Azure DevOps (GitHub also considered)
