Full job descriptionPortfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading London based client to recruit for a Food Category Manager.


The role:
You will be charged with the management and development of a specific range of categories to improve price, performance, and availability of your assigned categories.


Key Responsibilities
*To assist in product planning,
*Negotiating of pricing and promotional activities.
*Participate in supplier and category reviews, contributing insights on trends, seasonal demand, and product performance.
*Build relationships with your suppliers, to ensure the best product offering for customers,
*Monitor supplier performance to ensure that all KPI’s are being adhered to
*Monitor stock levels to ensure product availability


Skills and experience:
*Previous experience as a Buyer from a food business
*Strong analytical skills
*Excellent communication skills
*Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes especially Excel
