A highly regarded international law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its established finance team in London.


You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of client account transactions, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting offices across multiple jurisdictions.


Key Responsibilities
*Process and post client account receipts, payments, transfers, and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
*Ensure compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules, AML requirements, VAT regulations, and internal financial controls.
*Monitor client account activity and investigate any discrepancies or exceptions.
*Assist with bank reconciliations and support the timely resolution of outstanding items.
*Manage residual client balances and ensure appropriate treatment and record keeping.
*Calculate and apply client interest where required.
*Respond to finance and client account queries from fee earners and business services teams.


About You
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Legal Cashier or Client Accounts role within a law firm.
*Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and legal finance procedures.
*Experience handling high-volume and high-value financial transactions.
*Confident working in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Experience using legal accounting systems such as Aderant Expert or Elite would be advantageous.
