Full job descriptionSupervising Solicitor - £50-55k + bonus

Lead from the front, and help shape a litigation team on the rise.

The client is a growing Alternative Business Structure within the Group, focused on debt recovery and commercial litigation for International clients and a widening range of outside businesses. Work in a close-knit team across Manchester and Maidstone, building a firm where high standards, honest feedback and shared success come as standard.

We’re looking for a Supervising Solicitor who’s passionate about law and loves developing people. This is a key leadership role where you’ll run your own complex caseload and guide the next generation of solicitors, with a clear path into the firm’s leadership pipeline.

The role

You’ll take complex, high-value matters from instruction to resolution, bringing strategic input on case planning, negotiation and costs. You’ll also be the go-to person for your team. You’ll:

Delegate and supervise work across shared matters, keeping deadlines and milestones on track
Mentor, train and give feedback to trainees, paralegals, apprentices and junior fee-earners
Oversee drafting, client correspondence and procedural compliance across the team
Work closely with finance, compliance and business development colleagues
Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, from know-how and templates to tech innovation, ESG and training

What you’ll bring

You’ll be a solicitor qualified in England and Wales with 2+ years’ PQE, solid civil litigation experience and hands-on trial preparation. You’ll know the CPR inside out across the claims tracks, with practical experience of directions, disclosure and witness evidence, and you’ll take procedural rigour seriously. You’ll have supervised and developed junior staff, including recruitment, induction and performance management, and you’ll bring commercial awareness and a client-focused approach to advising on strategy, risk and costs.

Confidence with routine advocacy, experience within an ABS or group structure, and an appetite for new systems and continuous improvement would all be a real plus.

Why join us?

You’ll have genuine influence over how our litigation practice grows, working closely with Directors and Heads of Department in a firm that values accountability, resilience and teamwork. Add a competitive salary with up to £12,000 OTE, and it’s a great opportunity to step up and make your mark.
