Job Description:
Full job descriptionYour new company
An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join an ambitious and growing professional services firm as an Audit Partner in Aberdeen. This is a senior appointment offering the opportunity to play an influential role in the continued development of the firm’s audit presence in Aberdeen and the wider North East market.
The firm is keen to speak with established Audit Partners as well as ambitious Audit Directors who are ready to make the step into Partnership and are looking for greater scope to influence, build relationships and contribute to the growth of a business.
Your new role
As Audit Partner, you’ll take a leading role in developing the audit business in Aberdeen, combining senior client leadership with business development, people leadership and wider involvement in the growth of the firm.
You’ll build trusted relationships with clients and prospective clients, lead key audit relationships and work closely with colleagues across the wider business to identify opportunities and strengthen the firm’s position in the local market.
This is much more than simply managing an existing portfolio. You’ll have the opportunity to develop relationships, win new work and play a visible role in shaping the continued growth of the audit offering in Aberdeen.
You’ll also provide leadership to the wider team, supporting the development of talented audit professionals and helping to create an environment where people can progress and build successful careers.
What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll be an experienced audit professional operating at Partner or Director level, with the credibility and ambition to take a leading role within a growing business.
You’ll be a qualified accountant, ideally CA or ACA, with significant audit experience and the technical credibility required to lead senior client relationships and audit engagements.
Alongside your technical expertise, you’ll bring strong commercial instincts and relationship-building skills. You’ll be comfortable developing new opportunities, building your external network and representing the firm within the Aberdeen business community.
For someone currently at Director level, you’ll be able to demonstrate that you’re ready to step beyond delivery and take greater responsibility for clients, people and the growth of the business.
What you’ll get in return
This is an opportunity to take on a genuine Partner-level role with the scope to influence the future development of the audit business in Aberdeen. You’ll join an ambitious and collaborative firm where you’ll have the freedom to bring your own experience, relationships and ideas and make a tangible contribution to its continued growth. For an Audit Director who is ready for partnership but doesn’t see a sufficiently clear route within their current firm, this could provide a particularly attractive opportunity to take that next step.
