The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the finance function, ensuring outstanding payments are managed effectively whilst maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Duties and responsibilities
Key responsibilities are expected to include:
*Managing outstanding invoices and proactively following up overdue payments.
*Maintaining accurate debtor records and monitoring outstanding balances.
*Building and maintaining positive working relationships with clients to support timely payments.
*Handling payment queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently and professionally.
*Preparing and issuing customer statements and payment reminders.
*Liaising with colleagues across the business regarding outstanding invoices and account queries.
*Supporting the reconciliation of customer accounts and allocation of payments.
*Monitoring aged debt and providing regular updates on outstanding balances.
*Assisting with wider finance and administrative duties as required.


Experience and qualifications
We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable and who enjoy working in a professional, client-focused environment.
Ideally, you will have:
*Previous experience in a Credit Controller or similar finance position.
*Strong communication skills and the confidence to discuss outstanding payments professionally.
*Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining financial records.
*A proactive and approachable attitude towards resolving queries.
*Good IT skills, including Excel and experience using accounting or finance systems.
*The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a wider team.
Previous experience within a professional services environment would be advantageous, although candidates from other industry backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
