Are you looking to make your mark within a brand-new, purpose-built independent school with small class sizes and a supportive team?
We are delighted to be recruiting a passionate EYFS SEN Teacher on behalf of an exceptional independent specialist school. This position is available on a temporary-to-permanent basis, offering a fantastic opportunity to establish yourself in a growing provision and secure a long-term role.
About the SchoolThe school is a newly established independent specialist provision that opened its doors in September. Purpose-built to cater exclusively for pupils with special educational needs, it features dedicated, small-group classes organised by Key Stage. Operating below full capacity with just three to four small classes across the setting, the school provides exceptionally low pupil-to-staff ratios. This allows the team to focus on bespoke, therapeutic care alongside education, ensuring every child receives the tailored support, attention, and sensory resources they need to flourish at their own pace.

*Providing compassionate assistance with personal care routines, promoting dignity, comfort, and physical well-being throughout the school day.

*Creating an engaging, low-arousal, and sensory-rich classroom environment where pupils feel safe, secure, and motivated to explore.

*Working collaboratively with dedicated support assistants, therapists, external healthcare professionals, and parents to provide holistic support.

*Monitoring, assessing, and celebrating small steps of progress and development milestones.

Skills & Qualifications*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or EYFS teaching equivalent with direct experience teaching children with complex special educational needs.

*Extensive experience or a strong understanding of working with non-verbal learners and supporting personal care needs.

*A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach with exceptional empathy.

*Strong team leadership skills to direct and support classroom teaching assistants.

*Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
