Job Description:
Full job descriptionIT Release Analyst
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office
Are you currently working in IT Support within the legal sector and looking for an opportunity to take your career in a new direction?
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Release Analyst to join a prestigious international law firm in London. This role is ideal for someone looking to transition from IT Support into IT Release Management, with full training, support and upskilling provided to help you develop your skills and build a long-term career in this specialist area.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with a background in IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support, IT Operations or IT Service Delivery within a law firm, who have a good understanding of legal IT environments and enjoy working with technology, processes and stakeholders.
You don’t need previous experience in a dedicated IT Release Management role. We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, eager to learn and keen to move away from day-to-day IT support into a more structured, project-focused role.
What’s on offer?
*Hybrid working, just 2 days per week in the London office
*Full training and ongoing professional development
*Opportunity to specialise in IT Release Management
*Private medical and dental insurance
*Pension scheme and flexible benefits package
*Exposure to global IT projects and enterprise technologies
What will you be doing?
*Supporting the planning and coordination of IT software releases, upgrades and deployments.
*Working with IT Support, Infrastructure, Applications and Project teams to ensure technology updates are delivered smoothly.
*Helping coordinate Microsoft 365, Windows and business application updates.
*Tracking release schedules, testing activities and outstanding actions.
*Communicating upcoming technology changes to IT teams and business users.
*Supporting pilot programmes, application rollouts and post-deployment checks.
*Identifying potential risks or issues and escalating them to the appropriate teams.
*Learning and developing ITIL Release Management processes and best practices.
What are we looking for?
*Experience working in IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support or IT Service Delivery, ideally within a law firm.
*A good understanding of Microsoft 365, Windows and general IT infrastructure.
*Familiarity with legal IT applications and the demands of supporting a professional services environment.
*Exposure to software deployments, application upgrades or IT change processes would be advantageous, but is not essential.
*Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
*Confident communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
*A proactive, collaborative attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.
This is a fantastic opportunity to move beyond traditional IT Support and develop a specialist career in IT Release Management, without needing previous experience in the role.
If you’re working in legal IT Support and ready for your next career move, we’d love to hear from you.
