Full job descriptionHGV/LCV Technician (Days) - Warrington - £43,966 (£19.00 p/h) + Overtime, Bonus & Benefits
About the company
Our client, a well-established and multi-award-winning main dealership specialising in HGV and LCV trucks, is looking for a qualified HGV/LCV Technician to join their busy workshop in Warrington on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a daytime only role, no shift work with excellent overtime availability, a strong bonus track record and a genuinely stable, long-serving team.
HGV/LCV Technician - The details
*£43,966 per annum (£19.00 per hour)
*Overtime paid at time and a half
*Double time for weekend work, Saturday 12pm through to Monday 8am
*10% bonus scheme based on objectives — full bonus has been paid out for the last 3-4 years running
*5 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:30, Friday 08:00-17:00
*31 days’ holiday per year, inclusive of bank holidays
*Permanent position with a stable, close-knit team
HGV/LCV Technician - Requirements
*Around 5 years’ experience as a Technician/Mechanic, ideally within a main dealership environment
*NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) in HGV and/or LCV — preferred
*Full UK driving licence essential; HGV licence desirable
*Strong attention to detail, timekeeping and communication skills
*A customer-focused approach, comfortable working solo or as part of a team
HGV/LCV Technician - Responsibilities
*Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance inspections and MOT preparation on HGVs and commercials, identifying faults and completing accurate inspection records to DVSA standards.
*Carrying out scheduled repair, maintenance, servicing and inspection work to manufacturer and DVSA standards
*Completing MOT preparations
*Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment and manual checks
*Retrofitting and start-up of accessories and detachable body components
*Completing service records, maintenance reports and job cards
*Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and DVSA regulations
