Full job descriptionWe are working confidentially with a professional, highly respected organisation in the Durham area to recruit an experienced Finance Business Partner.This is a commercially focused and influential role, partnering with senior stakeholders to provide high-quality financial insight, challenge and decision support.You’ll build strong relationships across the organisation, helping leaders understand financial performance, assess future opportunities and make well-informed decisions. Rather than simply reporting the numbers, you’ll use them to tell the story, identify what matters and help shape the way forward.Key areas of focus will include:
*Providing strategic financial insight and advice to senior stakeholders
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning
*Developing financial models and scenario analysis
*Supporting investment decisions and business cases
*Providing constructive challenge around performance, priorities and resource allocation
*Translating complex financial information into clear, meaningful commercial insight
*Building trusted relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders
*Supporting continuous improvement in financial decision-making and planning
About youWe’re looking for a confident Finance Business Partner who can operate credibly with senior stakeholders and bring together strong technical finance skills with commercial thinking and excellent communication.You’ll be comfortable challenging constructively, working with ambiguity and turning complex financial information into straightforward recommendations.Experience gained within a large, complex or multi-stakeholder organisation would be particularly relevant.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the decision-making process and wants a role where finance is expected to influence, challenge and add genuine value, rather than simply report on performance.
