Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are seeing an increase in demand for SEND Teaching Assistants across Yeovil and the surrounding areas, as schools continue to develop additional SEND support and specialist places. We are working with both mainstream and specialist schools looking for caring, confident and reliable staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
The role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you may work on a 1:1 basis, with small groups or alongside the class teacher to help pupils access learning and develop their confidence and independence.
Opportunities are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, with roles ranging from flexible supply work to longer-term positions.
What we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, SEND professionals and support workers. Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties or complex needs would be beneficial.We also welcome applications from people with relevant experience from care, youth work or other support environments who are interested in moving into education.
