J&J Search is working with an established and highly regarded financial services business seeking an experienced Development Delivery Manager to lead its in-house development team and oversee the successful delivery of business-critical technology initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically credible Development Manager or Engineering Delivery Manager who enjoys combining people leadership, Agile delivery management and technical governance within a collaborative, forward-thinking technology environment.
You’ll take ownership of development delivery, working closely with senior technology leaders, project managers, business analysts and external technology partners to ensure development priorities are aligned, delivery commitments are achieved and engineering standards continue to evolve.
The Role

As Development Delivery Manager, your responsibilities will include:
*Leading, mentoring and developing a multi-skilled in-house development team, promoting engagement, collaboration and continuous improvement.
*Managing Agile development delivery, including sprint planning, resource capacity, prioritisation, progress reporting and release management.
*Working closely with business stakeholders, Project Managers and Business Analysts to translate requirements into achievable development plans.
*Overseeing internal and external development resources to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
*Driving improvements in development standards, technical design, processes and engineering best practices.
*Providing technical oversight across a strategic technology environment incorporating Azure Integration Services, Microsoft Power Platform and Snowflake.
*Ensuring effective management of development issues, QA defects and technical dependencies.
*Establishing meaningful development metrics to improve productivity, quality and delivery performance.
*Collaborating with senior technology stakeholders on architecture, technology strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You

We’re keen to speak with experienced Development Managers, Software Engineering Managers and Technical Delivery Managers who can demonstrate a successful track record of leading development teams and delivering enterprise technology solutions.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
*Proven experience managing, mentoring and developing software development teams.
*Strong Agile delivery management experience, including sprint planning, prioritisation and release coordination.
*Strong technical experience in at least one of Azure Integration Services, Power Platform or Snowflake.
*Experience delivering enterprise integration solutions and/or enterprise data platforms.
*A good understanding of development standards, technical design, software quality and engineering governance.
*Familiarity with technologies such as SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SSRS, .NET, Oracle or VBA.
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
*A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to drive improvements and take ownership of delivery outcomes.
Experience within Financial Services, particularly Wealth Management, Asset Management or Investment Platforms, would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other regulated or enterprise technology environments are also encouraged to apply.
