Description
*Install, test and maintain electrical systems and equipment across the site.
*Identify electrical faults and carry out repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
*Complete planned maintenance tasks to help prevent unplanned equipment downtime.
*Respond to electrical breakdowns and prioritise work to minimise disruption to operations.
*Read and work from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
*Carry out inspections and functional tests following installation and repair work.
*Keep clear records of completed work, faults identified and materials used.
*Maintain safe working practices when completing electrical tasks within the engineering department.
Profile
A successful ’Industrial Electrician’ should have:
*Experience carrying out industrial electrical installation, maintenance and repair work.
*Confidence diagnosing and resolving electrical faults on plant and equipment.
*Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
*Practical knowledge of electrical testing and inspection methods.
*Ability to plan and complete maintenance work accurately and safely.
*Experience recording completed work and reporting equipment issues clearly.
