Full job descriptionOffice/warehouse based, 5 days per week
work-led: the events and calibre first
Private estate weddings, eight-figure budgets, UK and European destinations: the events an Event Production Technician works on here sit at the very top of the industry. In-house equipment, full production ownership, a client list that most technicians spend a career trying to reach.
- Established luxury portfolio for your CV, events from £500k to £10m
- International travel across Europe as a regular part of the role
- Year-end company bonus
- TOIL or overtime pay on all event work
- Flexible hours built around event schedules
The Company
This is a luxury events agency with more than fifty years behind it, delivering private celebrations, weddings and corporate events across the UK and internationally. Everything from creative concept to technical production is handled in-house, with all technical equipment owned and managed by their own team. The client roster is predominantly private and high-end, and every Event Production Technician here works to the standard of delivery that roster demands. A business that has grown steadily through referrals, now expanding its international programme.
The Role
The Event Production Technician role sits within a close-knit production department, reporting to the Production Director, and covers the full journey from warehouse preparation through to live event delivery and de-rig, with crew coordination responsibility on site.
- Prepare, install, operate and de-rig sound, lighting and production equipment
- Review equipment lists and technical briefs, identifying gaps before kit leaves the warehouse
- Brief and coordinate freelance technicians and suppliers on site
- Liaise with venues, planners and artists to coordinate installations and rehearsals
- Troubleshoot technical issues calmly and escalate where needed
- Carry out equipment testing, maintenance and checks between events
- Represent the company professionally in front of clients and venues
The Candidate
The right Event Production Technician will have hands-on experience installing, operating and de-rigging sound and lighting equipment on live events, and will be equally comfortable leading a crew as getting stuck into the practical work. Client-facing confidence and discretion matter here: you will be the professional face on site, often at private events with exacting standards.
Flexibility is essential: this role involves regular travel across the UK and Europe, and working evenings and weekends is part of the territory. Candidates from adjacent technical backgrounds in live events, theatre or AV production are welcome to apply, and anyone who has worked as an Event Production Technician in a similarly high-end environment will find this a natural next step.
Competitive salary, a year-end bonus and a calendar built entirely around high-end private and corporate events await the right person. Interviews are being arranged now, so get your application in and make sure you are considered.
