People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Hooklift Drivers to join our well-established client based in Doncaster, covering the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering £15.45 per hour, Monday-to-Friday working, weekly pay, ongoing work and full training with an established waste collection company. Both experienced and newly qualified HGV Class 2 Drivers are welcome to apply.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Hooklift Driver or Waste Collection Driver.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• Various shifts available
• Shift times to be confirmed
Rates of Pay
• £15.45 per hour
• PAYE – holiday pay accrued separately
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 2 Hooklift Driver, your duties will include:
• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing commercial waste collections using hooklift vehicles
• Operating hooklift equipment safely when collecting and delivering containers
• Completing loading and unloading tasks safely and accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Following traffic laws, road safety regulations and company procedures
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers and site staff
• Working alongside a Driver’s Mate where required
Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsement codes
• Reliable, professional and punctual approach to work
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Understanding of road safety and driver compliance
• Ability to work effectively alongside a Driver’s Mate
Desirable Experience
• Previous hooklift experience within the waste industry
• 12 months or more of HGV Class 2 driving experience
• Previous commercial waste collection experience
• Good customer interaction and service skills
Training Provided
• Full industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
