Full job descriptionWe are looking for reliable, compassionate, and customer-focused Van Drivers to join a growing team. This is more than just a driving role - you’ll play an important part in delivering food and essential groceries directly to customers, many are elderly and rely on this service to maintain their independence.
Based in Croydon initially, the role will require travel to Godstone following an upcoming site relocation so flexibility with travel is essential.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver food products safely and efficiently into customers’ homes.
*Provide a professional, friendly and caring service at every delivery.
*Understand that many customers are elderly or vulnerable and may require extra patience, care and attention.
*Build positive relationships with regular customers and act as a trusted point of contact.
*Ensure deliveries are handled accurately and with respect for customers needs.
*Complete vehicle checks and maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness.
*Load and unload deliveries safely.
*Accurately complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices where required.
*Adhere to all road safety and company procedures.
Requirements
*Full UK Driving Licence
*DBS Check required (or willingness to obtain one)
*Happy to travel to Godstone following the business relocation
*Excellent customer service and communication skills
*A caring, patient and empathetic nature
*Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
*Ability to work independently and represent the business positively in customers homes
