Full job descriptionTotum Partners are recruiting for a Revenue Controller to join a leading US law firm in London. This is a great opportunity to join an international finance team, working closely with partners and senior stakeholders across billing, WIP and collections. The firm offers hybrid working, with four days in the office and one day working from home.
The ideal Revenue Controller will be responsible for:
*Managing WIP, billing and accounts receivable for a portfolio of partners and matters
*Working closely with partners and matter managers to review WIP and outstanding balances
*Managing the billing process and ensuring invoices are completed accurately and on time
*Monitoring aged debt and supporting the collection of outstanding balances
*Preparing billing and cash collection forecasts
*Providing regular financial reporting to partners and key stakeholders
*Working with finance colleagues across London and international offices
*Managing rate changes, write-offs, time transfers and other billing adjustments
*Ensuring matters are accurately maintained and billing arrangements are followed
*Supporting effective revenue management across the firm
The ideal Revenue Controller will have:
*Revenue control, billing and collections experience gained within a law firm or professional services environment
*Experience using Elite 3E, Aderant or a similar practice management system
*Confidence working closely with partners and senior stakeholders
*Good knowledge of VAT and the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules
*Strong numerical and Excel skills
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail
*The ability to manage a busy workload and competing priorities
