Full job descriptionRole: Client Account Manager
Location: Skipton
Salary: £26,500 - £37,000 (Including bonus)
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
Love building relationships, delivering exceptional service and making a real difference?
We’re looking for a confident, enthusiastic and relationship driven Client Account Manager to join a growing, people focused business in Skipton.
This is an opportunity to become a trusted partner to a portfolio of clients, helping them navigate their requirements, solve problems and get the very best from the service they receive.
Whether you already have experience in account management, customer success or customer service, or you’re someone who simply loves looking after people, building lasting relationships and exceeding expectations, we’d love to hear from you.
You don’t need to be an industry expert from day one. What matters most is your attitude, curiosity and commitment to delivering an outstanding service.
The Role
As Client Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of an allocated portfolio of clients, becoming their go to person and ensuring they receive a consistently high standard of service.
You’ll build an understanding of their individual businesses, provide clear and practical guidance, and work closely with colleagues to make sure everything runs smoothly.
From picking up the phone to check in with a client to helping them navigate more complex requirements, your role will be about making things easier for the people you support and ensuring they feel confident they’re in safe hands.
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas, improve processes and help shape the service as the business continues to grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Take ownership of your client portfolio, becoming a trusted point of contact and developing strong relationships that encourage long term loyalty.
*Proactively communicate with clients, understand their needs and make sure they receive timely, helpful and accurate support.
*Learn the specialist knowledge required to help clients understand their responsibilities, navigate requirements and make informed decisions.
*Work with businesses to gather information, understand their circumstances and ensure the right support is in place.
*Help coordinate client reviews, meetings and audits, providing clear feedback and assisting with any follow up actions.
*Manage enquiries, maintain accurate records, update client information and ensure important deadlines and tasks are not missed.
*Build strong relationships with colleagues across the business to share information, resolve queries and deliver a joined up service.
*Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience, streamline processes and contribute ideas that help the wider team succeed.
*Strengthen client relationships, support retention and recognise opportunities to introduce clients to additional services where appropriate.
About You
We’re interested in people who enjoy working with others and take pride in delivering a great client experience.
You might already be working in account management, customer success, client services or a customer facing role. Alternatively, you may have strong customer service or administrative experience and be ready to take the next step into a role with greater ownership and responsibility.
What matters most is that you’re someone who:
*Enjoys building relationships and making people feel valued.
*Communicates confidently and professionally over the phone, by email and in person.
*Takes a proactive approach to client excellence, looking for ways to help rather than simply answering the question in front of them.
*Is organised, methodical and comfortable managing several priorities at once.
*Has strong attention to detail and understands the importance of accuracy.
*Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, or keen to develop these skills further.
*Enjoys learning new things and can absorb information, apply guidance and explain it clearly to others.
*Takes ownership of tasks, follows things through and can be relied upon to get things done.
*Enjoys working as part of a supportive team and is happy to roll up their sleeves when needed.
A full UK driving licence is essential, as occasional travel to client sites will form part of the role.
What’s on Offer?
*£26,500 - £37,000 salary, including company bonus structure.
*Hybrid working, with three days in the office and two days working from home following an initial training period.
*25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays, your birthday off and opportunities for sabbatical leave.
*Offering of great employee perks & benefits
*Full training and continued opportunities for personal and professional development.
*A collaborative, supportive working environment where your contribution is recognised and your ideas are welcomed.
*The opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and build a long term career within a growing business.
