We’re recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-regarded business with a busy distribution business based in Stockton-on-Tees.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehouse duties, stock control, administration and customer communication. You’ll work as part of a small team, helping to keep the day-to-day operation running smoothly.
What will you be doing?
*Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries
*Picking, packing and despatching customer orders
*Maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out regular stock checks
*Arranging couriers and producing shipping labels
*Handling customer and delivery queries by phone and email
*Preparing paperwork and delivery documentation
*Loading and unloading vehicles
*Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
*Supporting other areas of the business with goods in and administration
*Operating a forklift once trained and certified
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with previous warehouse, stores or distribution experience who is comfortable combining practical work with basic administration and IT.
You’ll need:
*Good attention to detail and organisational skills
*Confidence using computers and email
*Strong communication skills
*A reliable, hands-on approach
*The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
*Good awareness of warehouse health and safety
*A current forklift licence would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
