The OpportunityWe are recruiting on behalf of a growing international manufacturing business seeking a Strategic Buyer to join their procurement team.


This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious procurement professional looking to take the next step in their career and develop within a strategic sourcing environment.


The company is open to considering candidates with strong purchasing and supplier management experience who are looking to broaden their exposure to strategic procurement and category management.


Key Responsibilities*Manage supplier relationships and support the sourcing of materials, components, and services.
*Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers.
*Work closely with internal stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Production, Quality, and Finance.
*Support supplier selection, supplier performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
*Analyse spend, market trends, and supplier performance data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
*Assist with sourcing projects and procurement strategies across a range of categories.
*Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively resolve supply chain issues.
*Support risk management activities and help maintain a robust and sustainable supplier base.
*Ensure procurement activities are aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.
About YouWe are interested in speaking with candidates who have:
*Previous experience within Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Buying, or Sourcing.
*Experience working with suppliers, negotiating costs, and managing commercial relationships.
*Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
*A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
*Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, technical, industrial, construction, or similar sectors would be advantageous.
*Good analytical and organisational skills.
*Experience using ERP or purchasing systems.
