The Opportunity
An established and ambitious UK business operating in the B2B services sector is looking for an experienced Part-Time Marketing Lead. This is a permanent, part-time opportunity, with direct employment by the business.
With ambitious growth plans, the business is seeking an experienced, commercially focused marketing leader to develop its strategy, strengthen lead generation and build a scalable marketing function. You will work directly with the CEO and senior leadership team, bringing structure, fresh thinking and commercial focus.
Crucially, this is not a one-person marketing function with no resources. The business understands that effective marketing needs both strategic leadership and people to deliver it. You will set the strategy and train, delegate to and mentor an offshore team responsible for day-to-day execution. Your success will come from enabling that team to deliver consistently, not doing every task yourself.
The Role
Working three days a week, you will own the marketing direction, establish practical frameworks and lead execution through an offshore team. You will review existing activity, identify opportunities and focus investment on measurable commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Marketing strategy: Develop a practical strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
Offshore team leadership: Help shape and recruit the team, then train, mentor and support its development.
Delegation and quality: Translate strategy into clear briefs, workflows and priorities; review output, coach the team and maintain quality.
Lead generation: Build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities through targeted, multi-channel B2B campaigns.
Sales and marketing alignment: Work with sales leadership to improve lead quality, conversion and pipeline progression.
Target markets and messaging: Define priority sectors, buyer personas and messaging for multiple decision-makers.
Campaign oversight: Plan and direct activity across email, LinkedIn, digital, content, events and other appropriate channels, with the offshore team handling execution.
Marketing operations: Improve CRM use, automation, data quality, reporting and campaign measurement.
Content and digital visibility: Guide website messaging, thought leadership, case studies and visibility through search and AI-powered platforms.
Commercial reporting: Set meaningful KPIs and demonstrate marketing’s contribution to pipeline and revenue.
About You
We are looking for a strategic B2B marketing leader who knows how to build capability in a growing business and achieve results through others. You will be comfortable advising senior stakeholders while giving an offshore team the direction, training and feedback needed to execute well.
Senior B2B marketing experience, ideally in a service-led, outsourced or contract-based business.
Experience developing marketing strategy in small to mid-sized organisations.
A track record of generating leads and sales pipeline through integrated campaigns.
Experience establishing or improving marketing functions, processes and frameworks.
Proven ability to train, mentor and delegate to marketing colleagues; experience managing offshore or remote teams is particularly valuable.
Ability to turn strategic goals into clear briefs and practical work plans for others to execute.
Strong understanding of sales and marketing alignment, lead qualification and conversion.
Working knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, data and campaign performance.
Confidence working with CEOs and senior leadership teams, with a pragmatic, commercial approach.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
Strategy with delivery support: Lead the direction while a dedicated offshore team executes the work.
Build and develop people: Train, delegate and mentor a team that can grow with the business.
Genuine influence: Shape marketing at an important stage of growth.
Senior-level exposure: Work closely with the CEO and leadership team.
Commercial ownership: Make a measurable contribution to lead generation and revenue.
Flexibility: A permanent, three-day-a-week position with flexibility around how those days are structured.
