Location: Birmingham, hybrid working - 1 day per week on-site
Rate: Up to £500 per day, Inside IR35
Contract: Interim
We are supporting a large public sector organisation in Birmingham with the appointment of an experienced Interim Procurement Manager to join their Commercial and Procurement function.The role will support the delivery of effective, evidence-based procurement and sourcing activity, helping the organisation achieve value for money while operating within appropriate governance and procurement requirements.

Key Responsibilities
*Support the development and delivery of procurement strategies and new sourcing routes.
*Support procurement and tendering exercises, providing advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
*Build effective stakeholder relationships and act as a key point of contact for procurement and sourcing queries.
*Support supplier performance and risk management through effective collection and use of data.
*Support procurement activity in line with governance and assurance requirements.
*Contribute to the development of procurement guidance, toolkits and supporting materials.
*Identify opportunities to improve procurement practice through systems and technology.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
*Strong experience delivering and supporting procurement and sourcing activity.
*Experience supporting tendering processes and advising stakeholders on procurement requirements.
*Experience preparing contracts and agreements and delivering value for money.
*A good understanding of procurement rules, governance and control procedures.
*Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
*Experience using procurement systems and technology.
*The ability to interpret information and data to support procurement decisions.
*A relevant procurement background, with CIPS qualifications or equivalent professional experience advantageous.
