The Role
As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, tidy, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues. You will help ensure the home remains comfortable and hygienic, supporting residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Cleaning residents’ bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and other facilities.
*Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
*Changing bed linen and ensuring bedrooms are clean, fresh, and comfortable.
*Keeping communal spaces tidy and welcoming.
*Following infection prevention and control procedures.
*Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
*Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns.
*Respecting residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal belongings.
*Working collaboratively with the wider team to maintain a homely environment.
*Helping create a pleasant atmosphere where residents feel comfortable and valued.
About You
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and conscientious individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
*A good understanding of cleaning standards and hygiene practices.
