We are recruiting for a Trainee Quality Control Technician to join a well-established specialist manufacturing company based in Basildon.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in a laboratory environment. You don’t need a university degree or previous laboratory experience – we’re looking for someone with the right attitude, a genuine interest in science and a willingness to learn.
You will be joining a small, friendly technical team of six, working in a hands-on laboratory environment where you can develop valuable skills and gain practical industry experience.
What will you be doing?Working alongside experienced laboratory and technical professionals, your responsibilities will include:
*Carrying out routine quality control testing on materials.
*Preparing and completing batch sheets and associated documentation.
*Recording test results accurately and maintaining quality control records.
*Following established testing procedures and quality standards.
*Supporting the technical team with day-to-day laboratory activities.
*Helping to ensure materials meet the required quality specifications.
*Maintaining a clean, safe and organised laboratory environment.

Previous laboratory experience is not essential. An interest in science is more important, and full training and support will be provided.
This role could be particularly suitable for a school or college leaver with an interest in science, someone with GCSEs or A-levels in science-related subjects, or an individual looking to take their first step into a technical or quality control career.
