Are you an experienced Audit Senior looking to join a progressive and growing accountancy practice where you can take ownership of a varied client portfolio and play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services?
Due to continued growth, a respected accountancy practice in Chelmsford is seeking an Audit Senior to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified, individual looking to further develop their technical expertise while working closely with a diverse range of clients.
The Role
As an Audit Senior, you will lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, working with businesses across a variety of sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading audits for a portfolio of clients, including limited companies, charities and owner-managed businesses
*Planning, supervising and completing audit assignments
*Preparing and reviewing audit files and financial statements
*Identifying audit risks and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
*Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact throughout engagements
*Supervising, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
*Assisting managers and partners with client advisory work
*Supporting the continued development of the audit department
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
*Previous experience within an accountancy practice
*Strong audit experience, including leading fieldwork assignments
*ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
*Sound knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
*Excellent communication and client management skills
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
*A proactive and professional approach to work
