You’ll be working for an established construction contractor with a strong reputation across commercial, residential and specialist building projects. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you’ll have responsibility for the financial performance of projects across the business, from initial estimates through to final accounts.

Your responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor
*Prepare detailed estimates, Bills of Quantities and on-screen take-offs from construction drawings and specifications.
*Manage tendering, supplier quotations and subcontractor procurement to achieve competitive project pricing.
*Prepare subcontract documentation, assess contractual risks and protect the company’s commercial interests.
*Monitor project costs, manage variations and change orders, and prepare monthly payment applications.
*Produce cost reports, financial forecasts and claims for extensions of time or additional costs.
*Negotiate and settle final accounts, working closely with Project Managers to maximise profitability.
What we’re looking for in a Quantity Surveyor
*Formal qualification in quantity surveying or construction management, with substantial experience in a comparable position.
*Eligibility for registration as a Professional Surveyor under Bermuda’s Professional Surveyors Registration Act 1997.
*Strong experience in commercial construction and office fit-out projects, including estimating, procurement and cost management.
*Proven knowledge of Bills of Quantities, tendering, contract administration, variations and final accounts.
*Proficiency in estimating systems, Microsoft Office and project scheduling software, with Sage CRE or Access COINS experience advantageous.
